Fulton Hogan – Asphalt/Bitumen Plant

Everything Water Australia were requested to assess the maintenance facilities vehicle machinery wash bay. The challenge was that contaminants were not being removed to an acceptable level due to vehicle upgrades and changes to the Equipment and machinery entering the wash bay. With the plant now weathering extensive costs with having to pump out waste water and water generated from plant and equipment wash downs, a major upgrade was essential. 

The accepted solution was for EWA to retrofit the pre-treatment system with a silt screen with proper draining and oil retention weir with other major upgrades including:

• Flocculation system
• Ph Adjustment system
• Dissolved air floatation treatment system
• Oil water separator system fitted with skimmer
• Secondary filtration, filtering down to 5micron
• Recycled water storage tank
• Disinfection dosing system
