Origin Energy – Reedy Creek

Water is the world’s most precious commodity, especially in remote locations and absolutely ‘key’ in this project. A Light vehicle wash bay with a 25t load capacity was required  to assist with compliance due to amendments to the Weed and Seed regulations. It would also need to be transportable for use in remote sites when projects complete and moved to the next site. Other important requirements included the wash bay to be an automatic drive through underbody/ wheel arch wash to thoroughly ensure weed and seed contaminants are removed. Finally, all water required for the wash needed to be reused/ recycled.

 The end result achieved all desired outcomes resulting in the installation and commissioning of a turn-key fully mobile automated wash bay system.

Key project features were:

• Galvanised modular transportable drive through wash bay
• Constructed pre-treatment system using weirs, screens and settlement tanks
• A waste water recycling treatment system
• Flocculation system
• Disinfection system
• Multi media filtration
• Recycled water tanks
• 15m x 5m pressure pad with 4 x pressure washers installed at a later date
• Secondary filter process to less than 50micron
